Oliver!

Enduring the test of time, Oliver! was one of the world’s top ten most-grossing films in 1968, bringing Charles Dickens’ beloved novel to life and based on Lionel Bart’s stage hit.

We are introduced to orphaned Oliver Twist as he navigates the underworld of London during the harsh times of Victorian England. Alone on the cobbles, Oliver is picked up by a boy, Artful Dodger, and is welcomed into a gang of child pickpockets led by the conniving but charismatic Fagin.

When Oliver is falsely accused of a theft he didn’t commit, a kind and wealthy gentleman rescues him to the dismay of Fagin’s violent sidekick, Bill Sykes. Caught in the middle is the warm-hearted Nancy, trapped under Sykes’ thumb but desperate to help Oliver, although with tragic results.

With spirited, timeless songs such as ‘As Long as He Needs Me’, ‘Food, Glorious Food’, and ‘Where is Love’, Oliver! is a musical classic for the entire family.
